Students are involved in various weekly and short term practical ministry during their study at India Bible College and Seminary. They are given feedback and are encouraged to pursue their God given gifts in to help build the church. Here is a list of different ministry opportunities our students have been a part of:
Students are trained by Timothy Institute and sent to 12 locations on a weekly basis to conduct children’s ministry. Our students teach songs, memory very, Bible lessons and games. A majority of the children attending these ministries belong to other faiths. Over 200 children are taught Christian songs and stories every week.
Every summer all second year students are sent for field and practical ministry training. They work under the supervision of a pastor or Christian leader.
India Bible College and Seminary focuses on academic, spiritual and ministry formation. All areas are given equal importance. Students are sent to different cross cultural settings across India to put into practice what they learnt in the classroom. Skill development is a major focus of the field education.
In 2018, 72 students worked in 17 locations across 10 states of India.
The seminary has been conducting meetings among Tamil speaking people at four locations.
We have ministry among Hindi speaking people who are working in different parts of the state. Every week students visit Paippad and Pathanamthitta to evangelize, conduct worship services and to pray for the people gathered there.
Our students, faculty and staff extend their service to Gilgal Ashwasa Bhavan and Asha Bhavan on a Weekly basis.
These are conducted on a weekly basis.
The entire IBCS community responded and offered relief work to those affected by the massive floods that inundated major parts of Kerala and especially Pathanamthitta and Alappuzha districts in August 2018.
