IBC & Seminary students enjoy the use of a library with access to nearly 100 periodicals and 23, 000 + volumes of books. Transactions are computerized. Having access to nearly 100 periodicals and 19,000 + volumes of books. Computers and Xerox machine are available for students.

  1. The library will be closed on Sundays.
  2. The library is a silent zone.
  3. Students are requested to leave the books on the tables in the library after reading them. The library staff will restack them.
  4. Bags or personal belongings are not allowed inside the library. Students will not be permitted to take into the library any books/periodicals from outside. Only plain paper will be permitted inside the library to make notes.
  5. Each student will be given an ID card to check out books. No student will be permitted to enter the library without his/her ID card. Your card cannot be exchanged – it is valid for you alone. The same must be produced anytime on demand.
  6. Internet services, when available in the library, can be used at a rate of 10 rupees per hour. Library internet facility may not be used for checking email but only for assignment and research purposes. This facility is primarily M.Div. students – use it judiciously.
  7. The class leader should ensure that every member of his/her class attends the allotted library period.
  8. Names of the absentees (from library) will be reported to Class Teacher/ Dean of Students / Warden by the librarian. Attendance will be marked in all the allotted library periods for all classes. Class leaders must carry the attendance slip to the library.
  9. Students must check-in / check-out Library books strictly on the date allotted to them.
  10. Failure to return books by the due date will lead to a fine of Rs. 5/- per day for each book up to five days. Thereafter, defaulters will be fined Rs. 5/- per day for the remaining period.
  11. Reference books (RR) shall not be taken outside the library by anyone nor can they be xeroxed.
  12. Offenders responsible for torn, damaged or lost books will be fined twice the price of the book.
  13. Outsiders wanting to use the library can do so on payment. However, they cannot check out books.
    Rs. 30.00 – for one day
    Rs. 200.00 – upto one month
    Rs. 1000.00 – for one semester
    Rs. 25.00 – per meal (for those who wish to dine in the college mess).
  14. A Xerox machine is available in the library for the students’ use at the rate of Re. 1.00 per sheet (A4 size)
